• Letter or legal size sorters have thirty five shelves with 40 pockets
• Letter depth (12 1/4") mail sorter weighs 150 lbs. whereas legal depth (16 1/4") mail sorter weighs 220 lbs. (note open back mail sorter may weigh slightly less)
• Vertical dividers and interior and exterior of the tabletop mail sorter's shell are made of 3/4" 45-50 lb. substrate (particle board) with thermally fused finish and matching or complimentary 3/8" PVC on exposed edges
• 90 degree 1/2" lip label area with center cut out on mail sorter steel shelves
• Letter and legal size mail sorters include one shelf (easily adjustable in 1" increments) for every three inches providing 2 1/2" clearance from shelf to shelf
• Internal mail sorter housing hardware to hold shelves in place generally referred to as standards are painted black
• Open back mail sorters have a 1/2" label area on the front and back of each shelf
• Mail sorter modules can be stacked with a unit of equal width and depth 
• Depth can be ordered in letter size (12 1/4") or legal size (16 1/4") which allows for a net opening for letter sorters of 11 1/4"W x 11 1/4"D or legal modules of 11 1/4"W x 15 1/4"
• Mail sorter label holders are offered as an option and the quantity provided is equal to the number of pockets the sorter has
• Plan for 3 to 4 weeks for delivery (production schedules can vary during peak season)

Optional Features

Finish for Sorter Shelves

(STANDARD) Finishes for sorter shelves are painted with a high quality electrostatic powder coat. The paint is EPA tested and approved. All paint colors are priced the same. Feel free to request color chips to assist you in your color choice at no charge.

Melamine Finish for Sorter Shell

(STANDARD) The exterior and interior of the sorter shell has a melamine finish which provides durability and appearance benefits. A matching PVC commercial grade tape is applied on all exposed edges to finish off the unit. Color chips can be acquired for standard melamine finishes free of charge upon request.

Mail Sorter Overall Depth

(STANDARD) 12 1/4" (Letter size) depth is suitable for most customer applications

(+$105.00) 16 1/4" (Legal size) depth is for clients who desire additional storage space

Mail Sorter Type

(STANDARD) Closed back mail sorters are open on one side of the unit for document distribution and closed on the other side. This is the most common type of mail organizer in the marketplace.

(NO EXTRA CHARGE) Open back mail sorters are open on both sides for document distribution. Pocket opening identification can be done on either or both sides of the organizer. Often, open back mail sorters are recessed into a wall by end users.

Label Holder Option

(+$40.00) Label holders allow the end user to identify each pocket opening. If this option is chosen you will be supplied with the appropriate amount of clear plastic label holders with double sided tape and cardboard inserts for personalized marking for each pocket opening.
